Learn to Crochet Sessions

Learn the basic stitches as we make a scarf or washcloth

Dates: February 16 or 23  or March 14 or 17   9:30--11:30

Instructor: Nancy Hershey                       Cost: $20.00 per session

Materials: Crochet hook size H and one skein Encore worsted weight yarn

Continental Knitting (beginners and experienced)

This technique class will teach the continental method of knitting. The working yarn is held stable in the left hand while the right hand directs the needle to make stitches. This method is noted for speed and ease of execution.

Date: Tuesday February 14  10:00--12:00 or Saturday February 18 10:00--12:00

Materials: size 8 needles and worsted weight yarn.

ALL Feather & Fan Scarf (experienced knitters)

This class will teach the basics of lace knitting which include yarn overs, knit 2 together, and slip,slip, knit decreases.

Instructor:  Hershey                Cost: Sign up through the Academy or $10 per session

Meeting Dates:  February 15, 22, 29. 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Materials: One skein of DK weight yarn, Size 4 or 5 needles. Stitch markers. Pattern provided.

Knitted Doily Throw (for experienced knitters)

Class instruction will include Emily Ocker cast-on for circular knitting, chart reading, feather and fan lace pattern.

Instructor: Hershey                                              Cost: $35 plus materials

Date: Wednesday March 21 and 28 1:30--3:30

Materials: 2 skeins of Cascade Eco wool, size 10.5 40 inch circular needles, stitch markers.
